As you might remember, communication was sent on June 1, 2025 to register your dependents per the decision made at the General Assembly meeting held on Feb 1, 2025. The deadline to complete the registration was June 30, 2025. (The original communication is attached below for reference). To date, few members have completed this registration process. The AZEdir committee is sending this second notice to extend the deadline to complete the registration until September 30, 2025. Please be advised that if a member has not submitted the membership application for his/her dependent registration by September 30, 2025, the dependent will forfeit all membership benefits. After this final extension period, if the dependent decides to join the Edir, all requirements of a new member will apply. The dependent will have to pay the registration fee and will be subjected to the 90-days waiting period. Please submit your dependent application to one of the AZEdir committee members or drop your completed application at one of these locations.

It is known that in the past, parents received the benefits of the Edir as dependents of members. However, at the general assembly meeting held on Feb 1/2025, it was decided that parents should be considered as individual members of the Edir and pay the due payment in the event of a death and receive full benefits like other members. Accordingly, in order to start the process of transitioning dependent members (parents) to individual members, we need current members to have their dependent parents complete the membership form by June 30, 2025. Membership forms are available at Bati Bazar, Yenat Injera, ADRAR Insurance and KARE Restaurant. Please complete the forms and leave at these places or give to one of the Edir Committee members listed below. Edir Committee members will collect the forms and after they review, they will contact you with your parent’s member ID. Please note that application fee and waiting period do not apply for this process.
